Prior to her first appearance with social media in the year 2019 her passion was as a dancer, who competed for over 10 years. She began posting videos of dance performances to the platform for sharing videos, TikTok. The year 2022 was the first time D'Amelio took part as a famous contestant, and went on to win together with Mark Ballas, in the thirty-first season of the dancing competition show Dancing with the Stars. She's the first to have both 50 million and 100 million users on TikTok. Forbes reports that D'Amelio is the highest paid female TikTok celebrity of the year the years 2019 and 2022.
