Amy Smart is a former American model and actor. Her modeling career started in Italy which is in which she was born and raised, before being was born in California. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film, was her first performance. It took some time for her to star in Starship Troopers in a smaller part. It was difficult for her to transition to acting as actors were never considered an actor, so they usually got small parts. But somehow Amy was determined to keep going and transitioned to bigger roles eventually starting with the TV series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. Amy then stepped into lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized by the industry for her performance in the last 10 years. Amy went on to star in major films such as the Crank Series with Jason Statham, and Shameless.
